The Online edition gives you so many other advantages over the old mail edition:

You won't be subjected to the vagaries of postal delivery (including copies damaged in transit). Anytime after the 5th of the month, you simply log on and download your issue.
You'll be able to quickly copy programming code and macros from any article, tip or @Help column to the Windows Clipboard, then paste them right into your Q&A database or macro file! No more typing that promising code from scratch!
You'll be able to search your Quick Answer issues like word processor documents to find words and phrases and the topics in which you're most interested! (All back issues of The Quick Answer from 1995 onward are available in Online Edition format.
The download files for most issues will contain the actual Q&A databases featured in that issue. You'll be able to use these pre-programmed databases as they are, or tinker with them to accommodate your special needs!
As an Online subscriber, you'll be entitled to post your name and email address, along with a brief description of your Q&A interests or expertise (even hawk your Q&A wares) in QuickConnect—a special area of this Web site reserved for online subscribers only. You can take advantage of this benefit to Network with fellow Q&A enthusiasts from around the world and get help with your Q&A problems!

With the Online edition you'll enjoy the same familiar Quick Answer. It's content and appearance are exactly the same as the printed edition.

How it works
New issues of The Quick Answer are posted at this Web site by the 5th of each month (that's two to three weeks earlier than the old regular mail subscription was normally delivered.) We send all registered subscribers an email reminder that the issue has been posted.

Visit the site when you receive the email reminder or whenever it's convenient during the month. Check what's in the current issue and enter your Subscriber ID (which we'll send you) to download it. It takes just a few minutes. You can then read The Quick Answer at your leisure and optionally print it out on your printer.

What you'll need
The Online edition is published in Adobe Acrobat Reader Portable Document Format. (Back issues of The Quick Answer from 1995 onward are available in Acrobat Reader files. All issues through the December 2001 issue are optionally available in the printed edition)

Find out more about Acrobat Reader and download it free of charge. View a representation of the Online edition and download a sample issue if you like.

Each month on or after the 5th, you download your issue from this site (click "This Month's Issue" at the top of the Home Page and follow the prompts).

The download file is self-extracting. Simply run it in Windows or enter its filename at a DOS prompt. Then, start Acrobat Reader, click File / Open, and select the issue to display it. (It will have a .PDF filename extension.) Read it onscreen or print it out on your laser or inkjet printer.
